Profile

Field of work

I am a postdoc at the LIB in Bonn, Germany and at IPM in Antananarivo, Madagascar. I am interested in developing and applying computational methods to monitor wild populations through genome sequencing data. My current research project focuses on Anopheles mosquitoes in Madagascar. From targeted sequencing data of 50,000 individuals, we aim to provide a fine-scale understanding of species composition, population structure and Plasmodium transmission rates. We will generate whole genome data for a subset of these individuals, to study their population structure and emerging and existing insecticide resistance in more detail.
